Status as of June 27, 2008:
  • The Pacific Tuna King has left Louisiana. The trip to La Paz, Mexico will take about 20 days.
  • We will stop in Puerto Progreso, Yucatan to top off our fuel supplies and continue on to Panama from there. Check out the Panama Canal Webcam, maybe you will see the Tuna King passing through.
  • Once in La Paz, the vessel will be inspected by the Mexican authorities, which together with the usual paperwork will take up to one week.
  • The vessel will then move to Puerto San Carlos, Magdalena Bay to take on the four skiffs and begin fishing operations.
  • A limited number of Shares are still available. If you are interested, please contact Smokey (951-737-4577)  or better Manfred Schiruska (818-888-2772), since Smokey is on the vessel.

Vessel Purchase Completed

Final payments have been executed on the purchase of the PTV vessel. Clear title to the vessel is now held by PTV.

Air Cargo Operations

Pacific Tuna Ventures is also seeking interested participants to become involved in our planned Airline Operations, "Spicewind Pacific Airlines (SPA)."

This Air Cargo and Passenger Airline will be based in Majuro, Marshall Islands, and fly between there and Tokyo, Japan, as well as between Majuro, and Hawaii, and also Southern California.

Operations will begin with a 737-400 cargo jet and will carry fresh sashimi grade Tuna produced through our Japanese and PTV Joint Venture Fishing Operations, in the Marshall Islands.

Initial air cargo operations will begin in Mexico with a suitable turbo-prop cargo A/C.
Flights will carry our fresh fish out of our facility in Ciudad Constitution to LAX for further transport to Japan.

Fish provided by our Marshall Islands Fish Processing Facility will, also be carried on the aircraft for markets in Japan, Hawaii, and Southern California. Primarily, fresh loins, fillets, and blocks, as well as ,"Value Added" frozen, packaged seafoods destined for Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Costco, etc.

At this time we require an implementation of $1,500,000 for our air cargo operation and approximately, $1,200,000 for our new Dock and Fish Processing Facility in Majuro.
